A Bit About Me

Like most acupuncturists, I found my way to Traditional Chinese Medicine through personal experience. My first exposure was in getting off Nicorette gum. I’d quit smoking cigarettes but still chewed the gum for five years. I’d get agitated and irritable whenever I tried to give it up. Four sessions of acupuncture later, I had quit for good! That was in 1997.

Then, the following year, I was complaining to my hairstylist that I had pretty severe PMS. My personality and moods would drastically change every two weeks – like clockwork. After counseling, hormone therapy, and several versions of the pill, I concluded that no Western doctors would be able to help me. The last doctor I talked to about my PMS told me my best option was to just plan my life around it!

Again, I turned to acupuncture and found Ann Wolman (who now teaches acupuncture and Chinese herbs at the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in North Carolina ). Within two months, the PMS was completely gone! Something Western medicine had told me I was going to have to “just live with” was resolved with only six sessions of acupuncture!

I Love My Job!

Fast forward 20 years, and now I get to spend every day helping to change people’s lives the way Ann changed mine! Since Traditional Chinese Medicine is a pattern-based medicine, it can help with almost any imbalance in the body – whether it be pain, stress, inflammation, poor digestion, insomnia, headaches, auto-immune, hormonal issues, you name it!

If you want to know how acupuncture can help you, check out my specialties page. If you’d like to discuss your particular situation, I offer a free consultation (either via TeleMedicine or in person).

When I’m Not Working…

I live in the foothills west of Denver in a cozy straw bale house with my husband and best friend Bob – luckily, both happen to be the same person!

We always have a tribe of “inside” animals (currently two dogs and two cats – all rescues) and whatever wildlife happens to wander by outside. I’ve played music basically my whole life, focusing primarily on upright bass, banjo, and guitar these days. I also love to cook, crochet, and paint when I can.
