Wow Your Friends

Meteorologist

Wow your friends with your ability to predict the weather!

The weather changes, like we’ve seen the last couple of days, can be a real pain for people with arthritis…literally! Many people experience more joint pain when the barometric pressure changes.

This is especially noticeable for people with arthritis or those who are healing broken bones. So, you can wow your friends with your ability to predict snow 24 hours in advance, or you can schedule a couple sessions of acupuncture…

A lot of people think chronic joint pain is just something they have to “get used to,” especially if it’s been going on for a long time. But acupuncture can be incredibly helpful in reducing joint pain as well as flare-ups. If you’ve been dealing with joint pain that:

✔️ Changes when the weather changes
✔️ Is worse with overuse, like long walks or standing for long periods
✔️ Prevents you from moving well and doing the things you love
✔️ Is from an old injury that never really went away

Then I highly recommend you try acupuncture! Not only is it a gentle treatment, but you also get to take a nap in a dimly lit room on a heated table with soothing music playing! What can be more enticing than that??

I usually recommend coming in once a week for 6-8 weeks when we’re working on chronic joint pain. As you get better, we start spacing out the sessions to every 10-14 days.

Once this initial round of treatment is done, I recommend people come for maintenance sessions every 4-6 weeks to prevent flare-ups.
